Devotional- Good Soil

good soil

But the seed planted in the good earth represents those who hear the Word, embrace it, and produce a harvest beyond their wildest dreams.”  -Mark 4:20 (MSG)

I had a woman come up  to me about six months ago and prophesy a word about my life. This word had come in the middle of a really hard trial. As the words were spoken, I felt in my heart God confirming this was true. Fast forward months later, I have yet to see the word come to life, and my human nature tends to doubt.  If you are doubting a word from God, then this word was not planted on good soil!  I have allowed doubt to uproot His truth. Thankfully, I do not have to accept doubt. Because, I have the choice today, to stand firm on His word.

The battle you face has already been won.  Stop fighting your own fight. It is time to align with God and His spoken word. The word is written for you. It is written to give you truth and life. You have everything you need in God’s words and His power to overcome the trial you face. When you are weak He makes you strong. If you are feeling defeated, burdened, and overwhelmed by circumstances, it is time to make a change! The time is now. Change your thoughts from your circumstance to His word. It is time to get into the word and meditate on truth. The more you seek Jesus, the more your heart will hold on to His truth. You need his truth in your heart to overcome!

Prayer:

Father God,

We thank you for Godly wisdom! Forgive me father for trying to handle my circumstances in my own strength. Thank you for your precious word that is Holy Spirit written and life breathed. I pray your word would come to life in my heart. Remove anything that hinders your word from planting on good soil. I pray for good soil, so your word will produce life.  As I go through my day, remind me of scriptures to pray over my situation. Help me to plant your word in my heart today.  I thank you in advance for the victory I will receive when I focus on your word. In Jesus Name. Amen
